    Use of School Playground

    The Avon School campus grounds provide a fun and comfortable place for children to gather and play. Avon School is very pleased to see that the playground especially is being used and enjoyed by many of the children of Avon-by-the-Sea after school hours, on weekends, and during school recess. However, the campus and playground are unsupervised by school staff outside of school operation hours.

    School grounds are under security surveillance and playground rules are posted at each entrance. Any person not respecting those rules should be reported to the Avon Police and may be prohibited from using the playground in the future. The playground is off limits to bicycles (and any items with wheels), food, and glass bottles. No one should stand on, climb, or bend the bars of the fence in any way. We are counting on students and their families to model appropriate playground use so that it is accessible to children for many years to come.

    In order to ensure student safety and comfort while on campus outside of school hours, the school respectfully requests that a parent or guardian be present and providing close supervision whenever their child is at play on the playground. Almost all problems and incidents can be avoided with quick adult intervention.
     
    Anyone using the Avon School playground must adhere to the following rules:

    Avon School Playground Rules

    1. NO bicycles, skateboards, scooters, or anything with wheels
    2. NO climbing on fence
    3. NO Food
    4. NO glass containers
    5. Use provided trash/recycling receptacles

    Persons misusing the playground should be reported to the Avon Police
