Mrs. Amy Lerner has been serving the Avon School District since October 2004, where, working behind the scenes, she has been responsible for managing the school district’s finances. As the School Business Administrator she is responsible for preparing the budget, negotiating and awarding contracts, coordinating the maintenance for all district properties, transportation services, food services, new construction, financing and debt service, payroll and benefits.
As the Board Secretary she provides the Board with legal assurances as to the disbursement of district funds in compliance with State and Federal regulations. The school district now operates with a current school budget of 4.1 million dollars. Mrs. Lerner continues to explore options to control spending without reducing the quality of education the school district delivers.
