- Virtual Open House for the 2021-2022 school year will be available on our homepage February 3, 2021.
- The Information Session will take place in the Avon Elementary School Cafetorium and is for all (resident and interested non-resident) interested parents/guardians
- The session will outline details about the Avon School programming, important dates, and the registration process. The Information Session begins as a whole group presentation followed by a building tour, classroom space access, and Meet and Greet with key staff members
Tuition Student Applications will be available at this session. Parents/guardians of non-residents who are interested in the tuition program are welcome to attend. Your child must be five (5) years of age on or before October 1 of the academic school year. Tuition applications are available on our website and will be accepted as of February 16, 2021.Tuition Application Deadline:Typically Early March [see District Calendar]If you are interested in applying to the Avon School Tuition Program after having attended the Kindergarten Information Session, please submit the complete application, including all required artifacts and application fee to the main office. Tuition applications will be accepted on a first come; first served basis.Kindergarten Screening Dates:Typically Early March [see District Calendar]The screening process is conducted by Avon Staff and assesses the readiness of your Kindergarten Student. The screening is most effective if our professional staff and your child can interact without interruption. You will be notified, in writing, as to the time of your screening appointment and provided a Dial 4 Parent Questionnaire, which we request you return at the screening appointment. You are free to leave the school while your child is being screened. The screenings take place in the morning hours. To be determined.Notification of Acceptance/Non-Acceptance:Typically at the May BOE Meeting [see District Calendar]The Superintendent will make his recommendation to the Board of Education at the April Board Meeting. You will be notified, in writing, on or before the date listed above as to your child's acceptance or non-acceptance into our Kindergarten Program.Kindergarten Afternoon Visitation Day:Typically End of May [see District Calendar]Accepted students are invited to attend the Kindergarten Visitation Day. You must return your tuition contract and deposit prior to Visitation Day. We ask that you return the completed registration documents at this time. Registration documents are located on our website. To be determined.While Avon Board of Education Policy allows admission of tuition students in any Kindergarten class with enrollment under 18, only qualified students will be admitted.2021-2022 Timelines are subject to change
