My name is Mrs. Sharon Cumiskey. I am the Reading Specialist/Reading Interventionist here at Avon. I have been a Reading Specialist for 10 years, and a teacher for 10 more before that. I look forward to working with your students this year. I have my Reading Specialist Certification from The College of NJ, as well as certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities and Teacher of English Language Learners. We will be working in small groups and our goal will be to improve your students' reading and writing ability.
Outside of school, I share my life with my husband Brian and our 6 adult children, as well as a cream-colored Golden Retriever named Sandy Grace and a Persian cat named Muff. We enjoy spending time with our children and going to the beach whenever possible.

Mi nombre es Sra. Sharon Cumiskey. Soy el especialista en lectura/intervencionista de lectura aquí en Avon. He sido especialista en lectura durante 10 años y espero trabajar con sus estudiantes este año. Tengo mi Certificación de Especialista en Lectura de The College of NJ, así como también la certificación como Maestra de Estudiantes con Discapacidades y Maestra de ESL. Trabajaremos en grupos pequeños y nuestro objetivo será mejorar la capacidad de lectura y escritura de sus estudiantes.
Fuera de la escuela, comparto mi vida con mi esposo Brian y nuestros 6 hijos adultos, así como con un Golden Retriever de color crema llamado Sandy Grace y un gato persa llamado Muff. Disfrutamos pasar tiempo con nuestros hijos e ir a la playa siempre que sea posible.
