Avon Elementary SchoolTIGER TALKParent Information Forum Framework
The Home-School Partnership is a crucial component in serving the needs of students. Electronic communication channels (ie: school website, weekly newsletter, broadcast emails) are valuable and timely tools, but perhaps less engaging than direct interactions.
To that end, Avon School utilizes a live parent information forum, less formal than a Board Meeting, but more engaging than an email, parent letter, or webpage information - and we call this format a Tiger Talk. The sessions help parents engage with information, ask questions, as well as share thoughts about upcoming events and programming.
The goal of a Tiger Talk session is to open lines of communication, share information, and/or refine school planning with the help of the guardian perspective.
Tiger Talk sessions are typically conducted in the evenings through the use video conferencing software in conjunction with a question/comment survey tool. The sessions follow an agenda and include a Q&A format to respond to the survey submissions.
Please submit survey submissions ahead of the session
