Hello 3rd grade families!

My name is Miss McGowan and I will be your third grade teacher at Avon Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year.

This is my second year teaching, and I am so excited to do it again as an Avon Tiger! I graduated May of 2023 from Montclair State University with my degree in Educational Foundations for Elementary School Teachers. I was a 4th grade student teacher in Roselle, NJ and cannot wait to teach as well as learn from all my students this year. 

When I am not at school, I love to read, run, take yoga classes, and spend time with my family, friends, and my dog, Freddie. 

I am looking forward to a wonderful school year together!
