Avon Elementary School proudly celebrated Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week with a red carpet-themed week honoring the educators and staff members who make a difference in the lives of students each day.
The week featured themed events and treats designed to recognize the dedication, compassion, and hard work of the entire AES team.
The celebration kicked off Monday with “Lights, Camera, Breakfast,” where staff members enjoyed muffins and donuts in the staff lounge. Tuesday featured a “Red Carpet Lunch” catered by the AHSA, followed by Wednesday’s “Red Carpet Refreshers” with a make-your-own dirty soda bar. On Thursday, staff enjoyed “Box Office Bites” delivered throughout the day, and the week concluded Friday with a special “And the Award Goes To…YOU!” celebration, where staff members picked up M.V.T. (Most Valuable Teacher) trophies and heartfelt student notes.
Superintendent/Principal Cathy Danahy shared her appreciation for the AES team.
“Our teachers and staff create the warm, supportive, and engaging environment that makes Avon Elementary such a special place,” said Danahy. “Their commitment to our students goes far beyond academics. They build relationships, inspire confidence, and help our children grow each and every day. Teacher Appreciation Week is one small way for us to recognize how deeply valued they are by our school community.”
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week served as a meaningful reminder of the positive impact AES educators and staff members have on students, families, and the entire Avon community.
