Parents are a child’s first teacher. At Avon Elementary School, there is a shared value for a strong partnership between home and school. It is with strong parent support and involvement that this learning community continues to foster and cultivate academic as well as social-emotional growth and success.
To foster this relationship, this Parent Academy page serves as a learning resource for parents to explore targeted curriculum, character education, and citizenship topics. Evening sessions are designed to create opportunities for parents to explore topics and receive training from professional experts. Sessions typically include a "make and take" activity and provide guided practice.
The goal is that parents will find the information and sessions to be valuable learning experiences that strengthen parenting skills and competency. F
