Use of School Playground
The Avon School campus grounds provide a fun and comfortable place for children to gather and play. Avon School is very pleased to see that the playground especially is being used and enjoyed by many of the children of Avon-by-the-Sea after school hours, on weekends, and during school recess. However, the campus and playground are unsupervised by school staff outside of school operation hours.
School grounds are under security surveillance and playground rules are posted at each entrance. Any person not respecting those rules should be reported to the Avon Police and may be prohibited from using the playground in the future. The playground is off limits to bicycles (and any items with wheels), food, and glass bottles. No one should stand on, climb, or bend the bars of the fence in any way. We are counting on students and their families to model appropriate playground use so that it is accessible to children for many years to come.
