SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education will hold a special meeting on
Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 7pm in the Media Center of the Avon School, 505
Lincoln Avenue, Avon-by-the-Sea, New Jersey. The purpose of this meeting is conduct
professional development for the Board. This will be a regular meeting of the Board and
official action will be taken on all business before the Board. The public is invited to
attend and welcome to participate.

LEGAL PUBLIC NOTICE
AVON-BY-THE-SEA BOARD OF EDUCATION
SCHEDULE OF MEETINGS
WHEREAS, Chapter 231, P.L. 1975 (Open Public Meetings Law) requires the Board of Education of Avon-by-the-Sea, in the County of Monmouth to give notice of its scheduled meetings which will be held at the Avon Elementary School, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 231, P.L. 1975 authorizes a public body to meet in Executive Session under certain limited circumstances, and
WHEREAS, said law requires the Board of Education to adopt a resolution at a public meeting before it can meet in Executive Session.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION:
- That it does hereby authorize the following meetings beginning in July 2025 through June 2026.
- That it does hereby determine that it may be necessary to meet in Executive Session on the following dates, and that the matters discussed will be made public when confidentiality is no longer required and action pursuant to said discussion shall take place only at a public meeting.
The Board will meet at 7:00pm on the following Wednesdays of the month for an open Work Session (NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN). The regular Business Meeting will take place directly following the Work Session, but no later than 8:00pm. ACTION WILL BE TAKEN, unless otherwise advertised.
Meetings will take place in the Media Center of the Avon Elementary School.
