Avon Elementary School: Home of the Tigers

At Avon Elementary School, we are committed to providing an outstanding education that fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and effective communication. We believe every child can achieve their highest potential, and our instruction is designed to support their growth in both academic and personal development.

Serving students from Pre-K to Grade 8, our standards-based curriculum is aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. We challenge students to become independent thinkers and problem solvers, preparing them for success in the 21st century and beyond.

We prioritize the well-being of the whole child, offering a Character Education program that promotes social awareness, collaboration, and digital citizenship. Our technology-rich classrooms support interactive learning, and students have access to one-to-one wireless devices and a variety of hands-on tools.

Enrichment programs, including “FLEX” courses for middle school students and STEAM activities for younger learners, encourage creativity and collaboration. Additionally, we offer academic interventions during the school day and after-school programs to ensure each child’s needs are met.

We value parental involvement and consider families essential partners in our learning community. Our Home and School Association (AHSA) provides numerous opportunities for parents to engage with the school, enriching extracurricular activities and strengthening community ties. The Avon Education Foundation further supports lifelong learning in our community.
